Box Speed doesn't collect anything about you. Your cameras, your film, and every roll you've written on tape stay on your phone.
Everything you put in the app — your cameras and lenses, what's in the fridge, every strip of tape, the shelf, the lab, your dailies, your journal notes — is stored locally on your device. It isn't uploaded anywhere, because there's nowhere to upload it to. Box Speed has no server that holds your information.
If you tap snap the can, the app opens the camera so you can take a picture of a film can you've written on. That photo is saved inside the app's own storage on your device and shown as the roll's label. It's never sent anywhere, and it isn't added to your photo library. The app only uses the camera when you ask it to, and never reads your existing photos.
If you ask the app to remind you to set the dial, it schedules a local notification on your device. There's no push server involved; the reminder never leaves your phone.
Box Speed is free to download, with one optional one-time purchase, The Endless Rack. That purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your name, your payment details, or anything that identifies you — only Apple's yes-or-no that the purchase belongs to your Apple Account, so the app can unlock. Apple's handling of the transaction is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
There's no sign-up, no login, and no profile. You don't give a name or an email address to use the app, and none is asked for.
The app contains no analytics tools, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is recorded or reported.
If your device backs up to iCloud, the app's data may be included in that backup. That's handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy rather than by us.
Box Speed is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Delete the app and everything it stored — including any photos of your cans — goes with it. There's no copy anywhere else to request or erase. Your purchase stays with your Apple Account and can be restored if you reinstall.
If a future version of Box Speed collects anything, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
